Why BeachScout exists

BeachScout makes public bathing-water classifications and marine conditions easier to find in one place. It is designed to help people research a beach, not to replace local safety notices or decisions by public authorities.

How the information is handled

Water-quality classifications are republished from the European Environment Agency dataset. Sea conditions come from Open-Meteo. Modeled climatology is clearly labelled as an estimate, and official classifications describe an annual assessment rather than conditions at a particular moment.
