Terms of Service

This page is a template — it needs to be completed with your organization’s real details and reviewed by a qualified lawyer before this site goes live.

Acceptance of terms

By using BeachScout, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

What this service is

BeachScout is an independent, informational resource that republishes official EU bathing water data alongside sea temperature and weather forecasts. It is not an official notice board and is not affiliated with the European Environment Agency or any national bathing-water authority. Always check local, official signage before swimming.

No warranty

Data is provided “as is”, may be delayed, and is sometimes shown as a clearly labelled sample or modeled estimate where a live reading isn't available. We make no warranty as to its accuracy, completeness or fitness for any particular purpose, and accept no liability for decisions made based on it.

Third-party data & licenses

Water quality data is © European Environment Agency (CC BY 4.0). Marine and weather data is © Open-Meteo (CC BY 4.0). Amenity and map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL). If you reuse data from this site, you must also comply with these upstream licenses.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service — including attempting to disrupt it, scraping it at a rate that degrades it for others, or presenting its content as an official government notice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BeachScout and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the site.
